Image Guidelines
The most important part of your order, crucial to the quality of your final horse portrait, is the quality of the image you upload.
Follow these guidelines to ensure your portrait turns out perfect:
✅ Best Photo Practices:
- Good lighting is key! Take the photo in natural daylight (morning or late afternoon works best) and avoid dark or shadowy areas.
- Use a high-quality camera or a smartphone with a good resolution for clear details.
- Ensure the full head, neck, and mane are visible with no obstructions.
- Get on their level! Try to take the photo at eye level rather than from above or below.
-
Keep it natural – avoid heavy filters or editing that could alter your horse's true colors.
❌ Common Mistakes to Avoid:
- Angled shots or extreme close-ups that cut off parts of the face or ears.
- Low-light or blurry images that lack detail.
- Laying down poses – standing or relaxed head-up poses work best.
- Obstructions like halters, blankets, or tack that cover important facial details (unless you want them included).
